The DVG-18N is not only equipped with a battery on the mainframe hanger, but also has a battery box for auxiliary power supply, which is connected to the mainframe through a standard DC cable. It comes with a battery pack that takes four 3V CR123A batteries that can power the unit for about 50-80 hours (without the IR on). The remote battery pack can not only provide power for the host, but also provide auxiliary functions as a counterweight. Considering the heavy weight of the night vision device, the counterweight is required.
This is an absolute game changer for night vision gear. The left and right imaging systems are mounted side by side on the support frame and suspended on a pylon similar to the ANVIS night vision helmet mount, providing users with complete adjustment options.
